I downloaded and installed the software on my 64-bit Vista machine---ActPrinter Win and Bonjour.  All seemed to go well/no error messages.  Tried to print to ActPrinter but it does not show up in Print menu as an available printer.  Restarted system, same problem.  ActPrinter icon shows up in system tray and looks good.  What to do?

Sorry to hear you are experiencing problems.

The have been other reports of install issues on Vista 64 bit and we are working to resolve the problem.

Hi!

Please try running "C:\Program Files\Houdah Software\ACTPrinter Win Client\Installers\Printer\"  manually to finish installation.

C:\Program Files\Houdah Software\ACTPrinter Win Client\Installers\Printer\ is a folder.  Is there something in that folder that I should run?  When I run setup.exe in that folder, I am told that I need to uninstall ActPrinter Win before I can install it.

Hi!

Yes, you need to run setup.exe with admin rights.  If it says it is installed already, navigate to the control panel and remove "ACTPrinter".  Do NOT remove "ACTPrinter Win Client"

Followed your instructions.  After running setup.exe, I got the error message:  "Install Printer Failed. - (error 1796)

ActPrinter does not show up in printer list.

We use a third party printer application for the windows client.  I have contacted them about this error will let you know what they say.

Hello,

This problem can be resolved by disabling your virus/firewall protection and Windows UAC.  Mostly this issue occurs because a virus protection software disalows a portion of our installer.
