Is there a reasonable solution for the autocorrection of various elements of pasted text that get auto-corrected as the text is being pasted to the iPhone? For example, when I paste any link from "http://bgr.com/..." to my iPhone, it gets corrected to "http://bag.com/..." For most websites, there are usually one or more strings of characters that, while correct, don't form a "word", and the iPhone "corrects" it as it is pasted. It is not always easy to catch the changes, particularly in longer web addresses.

Web addresses are not the only time this happens, just the most recent annoying example.

This might be unsolvable due to the method of sending the text to the iPhone one character at a time, but I'm hoping for a workable solution.

Hi!

Type2Phone emulates a Bluetooth keyboard. Pasting text from Mac to iPhone is done by simulating keyboard input.

In iOS 9, auto-correct settings apply the same to the on-screen keyboard and Bluetooth keyboards. If you prefer to disable auto-correct, you have to    do so in iPhone Settings. Prior to iOS 9, auto-correct was not available for Bluetooth keyboards.

Best,

Thank you for your response! (I hadn't received a notification that anyone had responded, so I just now found your reply.) Do you know if there is a way to work around this in iOS 10 without having to globally disable auto-correct? I can't explain why, but iOS 10 autocorrects *less* when pasting a URL, though it does still do it. Perhaps Apple has made some kind of exception with URLs in general since they *often* contain strings of letters that do not spell actual words. Do you know whether that has in fact happened?

Hi!

iOS 10 has separate settings for software and hardware keyboard. The hardware keyboard settings apply to Type2Phone. These are visible only once the “hardware keyboard” is connected.

See the accepted answer here for screenshots.
