I see that Tembo no has an Evernote Search Group.  But, I can't seem to get it to work.  No results show from Evernote.  Any ideas?  Do I need to enable something in Evernote, OS X Spotlight, or in Tembo?

Thanks,

Scott

Hi!

Tembo searches the Spotlight index. In order to make notes available for Spotlight indexing, Evernote creates files in sub-folder of ~/Library/CoreData/com.evernote.Evernote in your home folder. For each note, there should be one file here.

I know this feature has been problematic in the past. Often the App Store version of Evernote failed to write these files, while the version downloaded from Evernote.com was able to do so.

It seems that current version from Evernote.com ( Version 7.1 (456448 Direct) ) also has problems. On my Mac I have only older files in the com.evernote.Evernote. Newer notes seem to be missing. After trashing the folder, Evernote created a new one but it stays empty.

Please contact Evernote support for help.

Best,
Pierre Bernard

Thanks.  I am using the DL version of Evernote.  I'll start with a reindex of Spotlight.

Check that the files in the sub-folder of ~/Library/CoreData/com.evernote.Evernote exits.
In Finder, hold down the Option key, then click the Go menu and select Library. This will take you to ~/Library

I did check that ~/Library/Caches/com.evernote.Evernote exists.  I even removed it and allowed Evernote to rebuild that cache directory.

I found some good info here:
https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/88450-evernote-notes-arent-showing-up-in-spotlight-results/

Reindexing the Spotlight index did not resolve my issues, but this did:
From within the Evernote App,

1. Hold down the Option key on your keyboard and hover over "Help" on the top menu bar

2. Mouse over "Troubleshooting" on the dropdown menu that appears

3. Select "Recreate Spotlight Search Index"
