Hi!

I cannot figure out how to name explicitly the new HoudahSpot 4.2.3 document created in this AppleScript code sample:

tell application "HoudahSpot"
  activate
  #set thisDocument to make new document with properties {name:"XXX"}
  set d to search houd__search locations houd__fld
end tell

Could you help me?

Regards,
 Alain

Hi!

In HoudahSpot, search documents have no name until they have been saved as files.

When you open a new search in HoudahSpot, it is untitled and can be closed without HoudahSpot suggesting that you save it.

Once a search has been saved, it has  a name and HoudahSpot will ask if you want t save changes before closing the window.

Best,

Pierre Bernard

Thanks Pierre for your answer.

At present a code like this one gives commented results:

set houd__search to "abc"
set houd__fld to "/Users/alain/Documents/Logiciels/!Mac OS X/HoudahSpot 4.2.3/feedback"

tell application "HoudahSpot"
  activate
set to search houd__search locations houd__fld # window title => "Sans titre (abc)"
  # document "Sans titre" of application "HoudahSpot"
#set thisDocument to make new document with properties {name:"XXX"} <= doesn't work
end tell

I just want to set the HoudahSpot window title of the new created search without any saving in the first time.
