I've installed HoudahGeo on my new Mac. When I import my Canon RAW .CR2 files, the timestamps for both files are displayed as 01/01/1970 12:57:53.

Inspecting the files in Adobe Bridge shows the correct timestamp.

When I go to Load > Camera Setup… and choose the Clock Photo tab, the timestamp shown next to the photo thumbnail and below the filename is correct.

I was using HoudahGeo on my previous Mac with the same camera without any problem.

I'm running HoudahGeo v3.7.3 (8690) on Mac OSX 10.9.4

Hi!

Can you email me one of the CR2?

It’s quite a large file so I’ve put it in DropBox - here is a link…

I’ve tried importing into HoudahGeo (v3.7.2 (8307)) on my old Mac (OSX 10.9.4) and the timestamp is displayed correctly.

Thanks!

Hi Duncan!

I have loaded the image into HoudahGeo 3.7.3 and specified a camera time zone of GMT+1. It came up with 11/09/14 19:18:32 GMT+1. At first sight all looks good here.

What value have you set for "Display Time Zone" in the View menu?

Please check /Applications/Utilities/Console.app > All Messages for error messages as you import the image file.

Could you try HoudahGeo 3.7.2 on the new Mac ( http://www.houdah.com/houdahGeo/updates3/cast_assets/houdahgeo3.7.2.zip ) ?

“Display Time Zone” is set to “Europe/London”. I tried changing to GMT+1 and the problem persists.

With the Console “All messages” window open, no messages are logged as I import the images.

I have installed HoudahGeo 3.7.2 on the new Mac and when I import the files into tis old version the timestamp still displays incorrectly (01/01/1970 12:57:53).

As an experiment I have tried importing various other image files, including JPEG and CR2 from a different camera. These also show
with the same, incorrect timestamp.

The Mac is a new 15" MacBook Pro 2.2GHz Intel Core i7. OS is 10.9.4 (13E28).

Hi!

Please check System Preferences > Language & Region > Advanced… > Dates
It should look something like the screenshot below.

Please use HoudahGeo 3.7.3 to create a new project.
Add IMG_3277.CR2 to that project
Save the project file
Email it to me or upload to DropBox.

I checked the settings in my System Preferences. They were exactly the same as your screenshot.

I have created a project file with HoudahGeo 3.7.3. File is at...

Thanks for all your help :)

Hi!

The file looks good. Except for the incorrect timestamp.

Could you try:
- open the document
- open Camera Setup
- click OK

When I do this here, HoudahGeo re-computes timestamps and comes up with the correct value.

Also, please try HoudahGeo 4.0

Tonight I downloaded HoudahGeo 4 and that seems to have fixed the problem.

Thanks again for your help.
