Greetings

In the most resent update I have lost ( hopefully it is a glitch ), on searching the forums I find a comment from Houdah support that google earth is the way to go. I assume that this product is out of western europe, which I guess/project is VERY well mapped/aerial photographed. Recently I needed to use HoudahGeo via GE, well the Willamette Valley ( I live in Portland, northern end of the valley ) is NOT well aerial photographed, most of the countryside outside of cities looks like unfocused green mashed potatoes! Launched or reapplied google maps and was able find the rural location, switched to satellite view and hey they have better images at google maps than at GE.

Kindly keep support for maps support, now if I have too can I download the prior version if it is not a glitch and "you" feel that their is no obligation to support "old tech" AKA goggle maps.

Hi!

Google Maps support is still there. When it fails to work, it is probably due to the houdah.com server having a problem. Please try again later.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you for the response.

I had not read that I was using your servers in Europe ( assumption on my part here ) for the google maps, that is a round trip. Must be a custom interface issue?

So if I use "regular GM" where I can extract the L/L from the locate link on the upper right of the map window, I have to do a elaborate paste, select, paste, repeat. You understand the drill. Any suggestions on how to simplify that keyboard dance.

Hi!

Why would you rather use regular Google Maps rather than the embedded maps?

Hi

It is not that I rather would use "regular GM", it is if your site is undergoing maintenance or traffic/volume is making access slow to difficult for me, I like your product as it offers both GE & GM, and as I noted GM often has newer aerial imagery than GE, at least in the USA, no recent experience trying GM outside USA, GE is a mixed bag outside the core countries ( western EU, Japan, Canada, Aust. & N.Z. ).

Hi!

I see no problem with the maps. There is nothing special going on with the server.

BTW, the server is located in the USA.

P.S: You may want to activate the "Roads" layer in Google Earth. Maybe that makes up for lacking image quality.
