Hi,

I'm trying to figure out how to use HoudahGeo with a BGT-31.  So far I have not been able to get it to reliably talk to the BGT-31 via USB or bluetooth.  Also, the log files stored by the BGT-31 on the memory card are all *.txt files and HoudahGeo does not recognize them.  What am I doing wrong here?  Thanks for the help.

Hi!

The BGT-31 might be supported by the NaviGPS/LocoSys GT-11/BGT-11 option. I have however not had the opportunity to test this.

If the track log files are in CSV format, you should be able to adjust them to conform to http://www.gpsbabel.org/htmldoc-development/fmt_unicsv.html

I was able to get the files from the BGT-31 to work after I manually copied them from the memory card and renamed them from *.txt to *.nmea.  Is there any way to automate this process with HoudahGeo?  Thanks.

Hi!

HoudahGeo accepts NMEA files with a .nmea or a .log extension. It does not provide a way to automatically rename files.

You might be able to perform the copying and renaming using Automator.
