Is it possible to support the iBlue 747 gps mouse?

It shouldn't be too difficult when you look at http://sourceforge.net/projects/bt747

Best regards

Hi!

Thanks for the link.

HoudahGeo currently relies solely on GPSBabel for GPS device connectivity. I hear GPSBabel will soon gain support for the iBlue 747. HoudahGeo will then be adapted to expose the new feature.

BTW, if you have software which can download GPX files from your iBlue 747, you can use these GPX files with HoudahGeo.

Hi!

I have just finished upgrading HoudahGPS to gpsbabel-1.3.6. This brings support for many new devices, including the iBlue MTK based devices.

As I have no device at hand to test, I hold off an official announcement until I get reports of success from users with access to the actual device.

Please download HoudahGPS 3.0 and give it a try. Report any success or failure here or via email.

Once HoudahGPS 3.0 is confirmed to work, I will officially release it. An update to HoudahGeo with the same features will follow soon thereafter.

Best,
Pierre Bernard

Hi Pierre,

I just came across your software, since I have bought the i-Blue 747 some days ago.

So I followed your request to test the access to this device. I successfully connected and read the files and geo timestamps into the application. The GPS output was readable by your GEO application.

Thus, this seems to be the missing step to upgrade the functionality for HoudahGEO for geo-tagging.

It would be perfect to have one application running for all steps.

At the moment I was testing the Mac TravellRecorder together with the GPSPhotoLinker. The first one has the additional feature to adjust the settings of the i-Blue device. However, this will not have to change everyday and the price is as high as the device itself.

So keep on programming and you will have another customer soon. I see forward, to buy.

Regards, Steffen
