After installing 2.2.2 I relaunched and HG library loading starts. CPU usage jumps to 90%. Loading runs on and on. Never finishes.

From console:
4/7/09 11:33:03 AM com.apple.launchd[207] ([0x0-0xd60d6].com.houdah.HoudahGeo[3726]) Stray process with PGID equal to this dead job: PID 3753 PPID 3743 sleep

I've turned off all photo libraries. Is there something I should delete and try again?

My iPhoto is 7.1.5 and my preferences > advanced > Copy items to the iPhoto Library is unchecked. I have Keyword Manager 1.5 installed

Hi!

Does the "Loading photo libraries…" panel stick around?

Would you happen to have many files in your Pictures folder?

The Panel hangs around.

After opening the Add Images from Library window, the count at the bottom of the window appears and stalls at around 1100 items, then goes to 1203 and stalls again. A couple of minutes later the count has reached 1226.

I have 13,500 items in my Pictures folder

I tried launching iMedia Browser.app and it finishes loading within a minute without excessive CPU usage.

Hi!

There is no UI to turn off scanning of the Pictures folder. You may however issue the following at the command line:

defaults write com.houdah.HoudahGeo iMBPicturesFolder NO

OK I did the Command Line thing

Now I have no pictures at all. Dragging my iPhoto Library into the library window doesn't add anything.

Thanks

Hi!

The command line disables the parsing of the Pictures folder.

You probably have disabled the parsing of the iPhoto library from the HoudahGeo preferences. Please re-enable this and restart HoudahGeo.

That did the trick.

iPhoto contents loaded instantly and the count was around 2100 (about 800 higher that the previous count)

Thanks
