When attempting to load a photo using the Photos app viewer, I get the message:
"The data couldn’t be written because of an error in the destination for the data."   This happened after I had previously opened one photo, updated the GPS, and saved the EXIF to the Master.   I am seeing the same message on other photos that have not been edited.  The "place" information stored by Apple in the library is also not coming over for these photos.

What does this mean, and how do I correct?

Hi!

Can you email the image you are trying to import into Photos.app to support at houdah?

Are you running Yosemite or El Capitan?

Googling for that exact error message I see that it probably corresponds to the NSPropertyListWriteStreamError error code. Property list files are typically used to store preferences or metadata. The Photos app catalog contains several such files.

Check /Applications/Utilities/Console.app > All Messages. There may be additional messages that disclose which file is causing trouble.

You may want to repair your Photos library: https://support.apple.com/kb/PH21366?locale=en_US
