Hello,

I can't find a way to navigate the global menu from the keyboard. This diminish a lot for me it's usefulness. I'm trying with the arrow keys with no effect. Tried also tab and a couple of other combo keys.

And also, why can't I have in the global menu the same shortcut for the templates that I have when the HoudahSpot window is open (i.e. cmd-0 to cmd-9)?

TIA

Cheers

Hi!

Thanks for the feedback.

I agree that navigating out of the BlitzSearch field and into the menu should be possible. I will try to fix that with the next update.

The keyboard shortcuts for templates are not globally available as they may conflict with other applications' shortcuts. You should be able to use System Preferences to attach keyboard shortcuts to the HoudahSpot global menu.

Yea, I agree it would make sense (& be very handy) to be able to use the arrow keys to be able to move down the BlitzSearch menu (templates).

Also something I expected to happen in the BlitzSearch area didn't work as I expected.
If I type something into the BlitzSearch field & then select a template below it would be very useful to search that template with the text in entered into search field above.

Hi!

That's a very interesting idea. I am however not sure it is technically feasible.

I will give it some thought.

Thanks a lot!

Also I think it might have been mentioned before, but it would also be very handy to be able to paste text into the BlitzSearch field & for TextExpander to be able to work in there also

Hi!

Currently, the BlitzSearch field requires quite a lot of hacks to work around Leopard bugs. Many standard text editing features don't work. I have re-implemented the most important ones, but I hope for Apple to fix text editing in menus with a future Leopard update.
