Hi
Is the BTQ2000 compatible with OSX, and/or HoudahGeo?
HoudahGeo does connect via BlueTooth, but can't pull down tracks.
HoudahGPS does not connect at all.
Any help or pointers would be warmly received.
Cheers,
Jason.

Hi!

I can't seem to find documentation on the chipset used by the BT-Q2000. If it is MTK or MTK II, it should work fine.

Looks like it uses the SiRF Star III chipset.
I have asked the manufacturers directly, but given the sensitivity and pickup times are quoted as being the same as SiRF Star III devices, it looks likely.
There are drivers for OSX, as some devices are compatible.
Is this any help?

Incidentally, I went for this model over the recommendation on your FAQs as I thought it would be a more up to date model - The latest and greatest eh?
Cheers,
Jason.

http://www.preissuchmaschine.de/kat2-97.html

This site lists it as a Sirf Star III chipset.

Any plans to support it, or is it a paperweight?
Cheers,
Jason.

Hi!

Sorry for the delayed reply.

You will need vendor or third party provided software to extract GPX or NMEA track logs from the device. These logs may be used with HoudahGeo.
