Setting GPS location by dragging iPhone photo from Photos app...

Member #1396

Hi,

I mostly take an iPhone photo at the same location I take photos with my DSLR and other cameras. Using HoudahGeo it would be very convenient if I could drag an iPhone photo from the Photos app (synced between my iPhone and Mac) to a HoudahGeo drop area (e.g. the location search bar) to set the GPS location. Then by manipulating the map I can refine the position I took the DSLR photo. Since Photos does not support copying the location data (at least I did not manage), I cannot add the location parameters to the search bar. Supporting this would tremendously speed up my workflow.

Cheers Fons.

Thank you for the suggestion.

Does "geocoding from reference photos" help? See https://blog.houdah.com/2015/06/geotag-your-photos-automatically-part-1/

Thanks, yes it could help but I’ve to export my iPhone photos first out to my DSLR photo folder, right? It would be perfect if I could just select a reference photo from the my Photos library (or from any location).
