Hi

I upgraded to 5.1 and am using Photos 2.0 on OS Sierra.  The Photos 2.0 library is set as the system library in Photos.  However HoudahGeo also still shows the old iPhoto library with a red exclamation "Library is missing" message, how do I remove that?

Thanks

Andy

Hi!

HoudahGeo find the iPhoto library by looking at the ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iApps.plist preferences file. You could edit that file to remove values for iPhotoLastOpenedDatabase and iPhotoRecentDatabases. This may require special software like https://www.fatcatsoftware.com/plisteditpro/

You can also remove the iPhotoLastOpenedDatabase and iPhotoRecentDatabases values from the preferences files by pasting the following two commands into /Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app. Press return after each command.

defaults delete com.apple.iApps iPhotoLastOpenedDatabase

defaults delete com.apple.iApps iPhotoRecentDatabases
