This is getting frustrating.
I bought one of the recommended devices and its still not working :-(

Accepted the fact that I would have to use windows to program settings that's ok.

But when connected with the USB cable its not mounting on the desktop. So I can't read the darn files. Its sowing in system profiler as "CP2102 USB to UART Bridge Controller" but that's it..

Now what to do ???

Hi!

The Wintec WBT-201 is not supposed to mount on the desktop.

It will be accessible through HoudahGeo and HoudahGPS if you follow the instructions in the Help documentation or FAQ: i.e. install the USB driver or pair as a Bluetooth device.

The Help documentation will also point you to Mac software to configure settings.

Hi Pierre,

I have looked at the mini disk that came with the device. But it contains no USB drivers for the Mac.

Do you have any suggestions where to obtain the USB driver?

My Mac Pro doesn't have a Blue-Tooth module.

Thanks!
